Small Business Saturday- The Jar Bar Bakery

Image
"Chocolate Cranberry" The Jar Bar Bakery A few weeks ago I had the pleasure of doing a trunk-o-treat at The Jar Bar Bakery. I had randomly found the event posted on social media. The event was wonderfully run and everyone had a great time. The store is ADORABLE and the staff beyond delightful. So, for my first EVER #supportsmallbusiness post I decided to feature them! Reese’s Peanut Butter From the Owner... I started building the idea of The Jar Bar in January of 2019 while talking with friends and working my way through college. I was 22 with a year left to go before I would graduate and I had tried a bunch of different types of jobs and wasn’t finding anything that fit me. I started selling jars to coworkers and making new flavors almost every week! We have been able to build up our inventory to now include breads, muffins, cookies, gluten free options, cake pop jars and most importantly our regular cake jars! Making new flavors is something that sets us apart and you ca...

Wow... busy weekend...

Holy mother of real estate... this weekend was BUSY.  Three of my wonderful clients were able to go under contract over the weekend! 🎉 I am beyond happy for all of them! First off, congratulations to my seller in Oxford for getting a CASH offer on your investment property! Time to move onto bigger and better things!  Next is a beautiful family who had been hoping to own a home for a while. We searched and searched but none of the homes were quite right. When we came across Newport Cir. I knew we had to act quick... As soon as we saw the house, the work began and the offer was submitted immediately. The next day I learned we were up against another offer. With a little bit of negotiating though we did end up winning the home! That was probably one of the best phone calls I have made in a while. The sheer excitement in someone's voice when you tell them they just bought a house... it is one of the best feelings in the world.  Finally... now this is a good one. Probab...

Free Berks county book share.

I was BEYOND ecstatic this morning when I found this wonderful article written by Do It Local here in Berks County.  About a month ago I was searching on Facebook Marketplace for a play kitchen for my daughter. I came across a wonderful woman who had one for sale and went to pick it up. I noticed these book boxes in her driveway, so of course being me, I had to ask what they were all about.  Do It Local's mission is the following:  I am on a mission to share & create community collaborations that make it easier than ever to eat, shop, & support local! Which is amazing and I completely support. So I decided to get myself a book box in the Mifflin area. Which, by the way, you definitely should go check out. It is located at Gino's Cafe in Shillington.  400 W. Broad St. Reading... yum! There are currently 32 book share locations, which you can find on their website here...  Do It Local Berks Basically... take a book, leave a book. It's that easy! I a...

Under Contract at Lake Wynonah!

Image
Wow, this home is pretty neat....  Lake Access... Lake VIEWS... Boating, playgrounds, golfing, bars, pool, tennis courts and more~~~! Talk about a staycation! My buyers are beyond excited to move into this place! So a little back story on this couple. They were a wonderful referral from a co worker 💗. This couple is making the move from a small town in West Virginia and making a major move for a job relocation.  The stress definitely was kicking in...  ~New job in PA ✔ ~ Home in WV under contract ✔ ~ Pre-approved and ready to purchase ✔ BUT with it being an EXTREME sellers market. It was about impossible for them to go under contract on a property. Between them being, oh I don't know, 6 hours away... it makes it pretty much impossible to see a home immediately and have time to submit an offer. So, how did we win this BEAUTIFUL home?! Well, once provided with all the information. The couple decided to put an offer in without seeing the property! Holy moly right?! Bu...
